Victoria Moreno is a
driven Koryo-saram Filipina Creative Director, based in Toronto, with 3 years of agency experience as a Content and Social Media Coordinator, specializing in Digital and Film Photography, Illustration, and Conceptual Art.
Being a Koryo-Saram Filipina born and raised in Zambia, I have found that cultural identity and community have been prevalent themes throughout my life. With the wide mix of intermingling diasporas present in Zambia, our communities are often built of people with diverse cultural backgrounds, from all corners of the world. By never fully “fitting in” with any singular cultural identity or standard, this experience taught me to be more open-minded, allowing me to find unique cultural connections amongst anyone I meet.
Starting primarily as an Illustrator, I fell in love with Photography and Art History while pursuing my BFA, and then Graphic design, Videography, and Creative Direction after graduating. I was grateful to work as the In-house Graphic Designer and Photographer, at a Toronto-based PR and marketing agency, further progressing to the role of the Content and Social Media Coordinator. This experience granted me great insight into various marketing strategies, including brand development, and working with team members and clients from various industries in an agency environment.
The purpose of my existence in this life is deeply rooted in bringing more love and light to those around me, using my intuitive creative skills, services, and unique background, to create culturally and socially impactful works, that serve to build a collaborative environment that values principles of mutual aid, care, development, and understanding within the creative community.
