MAN ON THE MOON

PROJECT OVERVIEW: 

HXGO is a Canadian Music Artist from Ottawa, Canada. In 2020, the client required assistance in creatively directing and administering the visual cover for his single Man on the Moon, aligning with the artist’s vision and theme for the song.

The song is meant to be lighthearted and comical, providing an upbeat yet relaxed atmosphere. The only visual request made with this was that it should comically feature astronauts partying in space, near the moon.

Using an illustrative approach, I intended to capture a comical take of astronauts in space. Gaining inspiration from classic childhood cartoons, such as Dexter’s Laboratory and The PowerPuff Girls, I wanted to capture similar elements of the iconic scenes whenever astronauts and their comical experiences in space are featured.

Constant communication throughout the process, allowed for a successful and collaborative design strategy. Giving further understanding to the client of how I utilize my skills and experience to direct and administer the creative ideas needed for the final high-quality visual, capable of being used for various marketing and print materials, including Social Media and Music Streaming Platforms (such as Instagram and Spotify).
