HXOUSE Tenant

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

HXOUSE is a Toronto-based, globally focused think-center. Serving its community as an incubator and accelerator, it helps to foster innovation and opportunity for creative entrepreneurs.

As a selected participant in the second round of HXOUSE’s No More Dreams Program called The Re-Entry Program in 2021, I was tasked with creating a personal Atlas, a reflective and forward-looking visual narrative mapping my journey as a creative. This project explored my past, present, and future aspirations, capturing pivotal real-life events, influences, and my projected 5-10-year plan. Executed within a three-day sprint, I crafted a comic book-style Atlas, integrating my illustrative skills and interactive elements such as QR codes for an immersive storytelling experience. The Atlas functioned as a visual diary, showcasing my artistic growth, values, community involvement, and creative trajectory from 1996 to 2030, with room for continuous evolution. This project served as both self-reflection and strategic career mapping, reinforcing my ability to synthesize personal narrative and design into a compelling, structured format.

As HXOUSE expanded into tech-driven creative innovation, I participated in the HXOUSE LABS Intelligent Machinery: Neural Artworks Workshop, a two-day AI workshop in collaboration with OpenAI and Strangeloop Studios. This hands-on experience provided exclusive access to cutting-edge AI tools, including DALL·E 2 and Notch, allowing participants to explore the intersection of AI-generated art and visual effects. Through prompt-based experimentation, I generated diverse and unexpected images, uncovering the transformative potential of AI in creative workflows. This workshop provided valuable insight into the evolving relationship between AI and artistic creation, shaping my perspective on how technology can redefine artistic processes, conceptualization, and audience engagement.

My participation in both HXOUSE initiatives reinforced my adaptability as a multidisciplinary creative, bridging traditional and digital art forms. The Atlas project allowed for a deep personal exploration and career foresight, while the AI workshop introduced new methodologies that push the boundaries of creative innovation.
